The El Dorado County Short Range Transit Plan Study is Underway!
The El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) was awarded Transit Technical Assistance grant funding from Caltrans to develop a Short-Range Transit Plan for El Dorado County. The previous Short Range Transit Plan (SRTP) was developed as a component of the combined Short-and Long-Range Transit Plan Study completed in November of 2003. (El Dorado County 2003 Short-Long Range Transit Plan) The short-range element of that plan was developed to span the years of 2003/04 through 2007/08. Nearly all of the action items in the short-range component of the Implementation Plan contained in that document have been completed. Development of a new Short-Range Transit Plan is needed to actively guide transit operations over the next five years.
EDCTC has hired LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. (LSC)
to develop the Short Range Transit Plan for

available!
Public Meetings: The Draft
Report will be presented to the EDCTA and EDCTC Boards on
June 5, 2008 at 1:00pm (EDCTA) and 2:00pm (EDCTC). The meetings will be held in
